Markus Homm builds grooves that move you before you realize you're moving.

Born in Romania in 1980 and based in Germany, he's spent two decades turning precision into rhythm — first on the dancefloor as a world-class competitive Latin dancer, then behind the decks and in the studio. That discipline never left; it's the reason his tracks feel so exact.

House music caught him in the mid-90s, off the radio and out of the clubs. He bought a pair of turntables, hunted down the records that had kept him up at night, and played his first gig at 21. By the late 2000s he'd crossed from the booth to the studio — and the releases haven't stopped since.

From Highgrade, his home label, his music has landed on Diynamic, Poker Flat, 8bit, Saved, Bedrock and Bondage Music. He's been making music for the better part of two decades on a single principle — no formula, no recipe, just whatever moves him in the moment. The through-line is always the groove: tight, hypnotic, built to keep a room locked in.

Lately he's also gone back to his roots with Wax Lounge, a project run purely for the love of it, away from the release grind. That instinct has carried him from Berlin's Panorama Bar, Watergate and Tresor to floors in Tokyo, Bucharest, Madrid, Mexico, Bangkok and beyond. Wherever he plays, the brief is the same: find the groove, and don't let go.
